Troops of Operation Lafia Dole have killed
two senior Boko Haram Commanders and
several other insurgents at Darul Jamel on
the fringes of Sambisa Forest in Borno.
Acting Director, Army Public Relations
Col Sani Usman, said in a statement in
Abuja that this was after the troops
successfully repelled an attempted attack
on their location.
“prior to the attack, the troops of the same
unit on routine patrol earlier, cleared an
ambush staged by suspected remnants of
the terrorists desperate for food, near banki
junction.
About four days ago, the Nigerian Air Force
attacked some of the hideouts of the
insurgents and seriously wounded their
leader Abubakar Shekau.
Several of the insurgents were also killed in
the air raid. Menawhile the troops are yet
to locate the Chibok Schoolgirls that were
kidnapped in 2014 by the dreaded Boko
Haram.
