Nobody Is Trying To Impose Agbaje as PDP Chairman Says Jalo

A former Deputy Scribe of the Peoples
Democratic Party Abdullahi Jalo has refuted
an allegation of a planned imposition of
Jimi Agbaje or any other person on the
party as chairman.
His comments at a press conference in
Abuja on Monday come in the wake of
comments by one of the chairmanship
candidates, Raymond Dokpesi, Chairman of
Daar Communications, to which he said
some PDP governors
wanted to impose Mr. Agbaje on the party
during the botched convention in Port
Harcourt last week.

Mr. Jalo also urged Ali Modu Sheriff to
renounce his claim to the PDP
chairmanship seat.
The party has been in serious crisis of
leadership since its defeat by the ruling
party All Progressives Congress in 2015
presidential election.
Currently, there are two factions of the
party; one being led by Modu Sheriff and
another by Ahmed Makarfi.
