Bring back Our Girls, Chibok School Girls Group Asks Buhari to Resign

Parents protesting the failure of the
government to rescue the abducted Chibok
Schoolgirls have asked President Buhari to
immediately rescue the girls from captivity
or resign.
The parents, who joined the
#bringbackourgirls coalition yesterday for
another protest march to the presidential
villa, were again stopped by armed
policemen.
A representative of the parents, Enoch
Mark, accused the Federal Government of
not doing enough to rescue the girls,
saying the government should negotiate for
their release.

Meanwhile, the presidency has said it has
not given up on the chibok girls.
The Senior Special Assistant to the
president on Media and Publicity, Garba
Shehu, said president buhari’s heart was
with the girls and their parents.
He said that efforts to find and rescue them
would continue. Over 200 Chibok
schoolgirls were kidnapped by Boko Haram
insurgents in 2014.
Only one of them had since escaped while
whereabouts of others are still unknown.
